Enchanting Sovereign Featuring a Seated Elizabeth I

S-2529; Fr-209; N-2003. Sixth issue. Obverse: Elizabeth, holding lis-tipped scepter and orb, seated facing on ornate Gothic throne; all within tressure of arches; portcullis with chains below; Reverse: Coat-of-arms at center of Tudor rose. Despite its noted edge issues, this large, broad gold denomination displays little in the way of actual handling, with some elegant brilliance residing among the protected areas and a golden-yellow tone off-setting some of the devices.
