Obverse: Edward, holding sword and shield, standing facing in ship with bowsprit; Reverse: Voided short cross potent over cross fleuree; in each angle, crown over lion passant over trefoil; at center, small Є within quadrilobe; all within polylobe, with trefoils in spandrels; saltire stops in legend. Struck on rusty dies with areas of minor softness, but exhibiting a lack of legitimate wear from circulation, the surfaces gently lustrous and highlighted by faint orange toning.
