S-2641A; Fr-243; N-2117. Weight: 4.37 gms. Third coinage, first bust. Obverse: Laureate, draped, and armored bust left; X (mark of value) to right; Reverse: Square-topped coat-of-arms over long cross fourchee; crown above. Fairly evenly worn, with some deeper orange hues nearer the peripheries. Despite being holdered as the rose mintmark, it appears more likely to be the lis.
