Oliver Cromwell 1/2 Crown 1658 AU58 NGC, KM-B207, S-3227A. The lovingly preserved patina gives way to a planchet crack at 6 o'clock on the reverse as if disclosing the tumultuous Jekyll and Hyde politics of the Cromwellian era. Evidence of handling on this distinctly original piece is scant.
